A ramp is located immediately to the West of the main entrance to the School of Dentistry. The ramp is slightly below ground level and is equipped with automatic doors on the right-hand side of the bottom of the ramp. Access to the Dentistry Library is easily available from this entrance by taking the elevator from the ground level to "L" for Library. There is a campus phone by the entrance to the elevator, with a posted phonelist. You can also phone the Dentistry Library for assistance from here.
The primary elevator for the Dentistry Library is located immediately adjacent to the ground-level ramp for the exterior entrance. Other elevators are located by the patient Information Desks for the School of Dentistry, from the main plaza entrance to the School. If using the main building entrance and those elevators, please be aware that thoe elevators do not go to the Library's floor. You could either come around the halls from the first or second floor, but would eventually need to use either the Library's main elevator or stairwell to gain access to the Library. By stairwell, the Dentistry Library is located between the 1st and 2nd Floors.
Two wheelchair-accessible computers are located against the north wall of the public computing area by the entrance to the library. Staff are available to assist users as needed in accessing these computers.
Patrons in wheelchairs may find the stacks difficult to access. Circulation staff will assist patrons with disabilities in retrieving items from the stacks. For assistance, staff can be contacted by phone (734-764-1526) or by e-mail (dentistry.library@umich.edu).
There are wheelchair-height tables located on the Dentistry Library's main floor immediately before the stacks area, and past the Circulation Desk area.
