The Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health (CINAHL) database provides authoritative coverage of the literature related to nursing and allied health. Virtually all English-language publications are indexed along with the publications of the American Nurses Association and the National League.

PopLine
Covers family planning technology and programs, fertility, population law and policy, demography, maternal and child health, AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, reproductive health programs, women in development, and health care communication.

PubMed (with UM SFX Links)
PubMed indexes over 4,000 biomedical, nursing, dentistry and related journals, with over 15 million citations in MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE and related databases.

Medline (via UM-MEDSEARCH)
The University of Michigan 's access to MEDLINE and related biomedical databases.

General

ProQuest
Access to ProQuest Research Library, a general periodical index with full text; ProQuest Newsstand, indexing & full text of many newspapers worldwide; and ABI/INFORM Global, a business index with full text and links to Hoover 's corporate directory.

Web of Science
Combines three citation indexes--Arts & Humanities, Science Expanded, and Social Sciences--which permit searching for articles that cite a known author or work, as well as searching by subject, author, journal, and author address. Covers 8,400+ journals.

Indexes journal articles, government publications and unpublished materials such as conference papers, reports, theses and more.

Family & Society Studies Worldwide  
"Family & Society Studies Worldwide covers popular issues as well as meeting the requirements of professionals in all fields of social work, social science and family practice. The quality and quantity of literature cited have been increased, and the scope is international including new areas of research and types of publications."

PsycINFO
This database contains more than one million citations and summaries of journal articles, book chapters, books, dissertations and technical reports, all in the field of psychology. It also includes information about the psychological aspects of related disciplines such as medicine, psychiatry, and public health.

Social Sciences Citation Index (Web of Knowledge)
International multidisciplinary journal literature index, with searchable author abstracts, covering a broad range of social science literature including anthropology, social work, public health, urban studies, law and more.  Indexes 1700 journals spanning 50 disciplines.

Social Services Abstracts
An index of social services literature, including social welfare, policy and community development. Abstracts cover journal articles, dissertations and book reviews. While this database indexes more journals than Social Work Abstracts, many of the journals are not available on this campus.

Social Work Abstracts
Social Work Abstracts contains information on the fields of social work and human services. Covers more than 450 journals in the areas of the social work profession, theory and practice, areas of service, social issues and social problems.

Social Sciences Abstracts
Social Sciences Abstracts provides accurate, up-to-date coverage of the social sciences. Its records describe feature articles, biographical sketches, interviews, obituaries, scholarly replies, and book reviews longer than one-half page; book reviews of government documents and letters to the editor.

Sociological Abstracts
CSA Sociological Abstracts abstracts and indexes the international literature in sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences.
