About half of article requests arrive in 2 days, and about half of loan requests arrive in 1 week. It all depends on the rarity of the item you're requesting, the speed of the lending library, and shipping time.

The Interlibrary Loan office coordinates the borrowing and lending of materials between the University of Michigan and other institutions.

 

Are you University of Michigan faculty, student or staff? Interlibrary Loan obtains items that are not available at the University of Michigan Library for the study and research of the University's patrons, including:

• Books, dissertations, and microforms
• Copies of periodical articles or short sections of books
